What was it like to be a young person in the 1940s, 1960s, or even the 1990s?
The Decades of Youth exhibition which opened on Saturday at Abbey House Museum uses the memories of Leeds residents to show us. Our own Tuesday and Midweeker groups were able to contribute some of their stories about growing up in Leeds to this and some of us also attended the launch event
Through objects, photo and film, the Decades of Youth display reveals stories from members of the local community about being young from the Forties right up until the Noughties. Discover changing fashions, popular music, occupations and expectations. The exhibition runs until January 2017
