Morgans City Living sing to support Caring Together

The midweeker sxmas meal 2013 013 (1) Headingley-based lettings business is inviting local people to join them for an afternoon of Christmas carols in order to raise money for Caring Together, a charity that supports older people in Woodhouse and Little London.

Morgans will host the event in its offices at 75 Otley Road, opposite the Arndale Centre on Sunday 21st December. Staff, clients, family and friends will gather at 4.30pm to sing carols and enjoy food and mulled wine from local cafe and deli Sebby’s.

Managing Director of Morgans Jonathan Morgan says: “We would love to see members of the local community join us on this very special occasion to celebrate Christmas together with a fun filled sing-along. Our business is a real part of the fabric of Headingley, having operated here for 16 years, and since we moved into our new offices almost three years ago we have established an ongoing calendar of successful events and fund-raising activities that are always well-received.”

Morgans recently donated £800 to Caring Together, which enabled the charity to buy thermal clothing for older people. Jonathan adds: “Caring Together does a superb job supporting over 300 members of the local community by running fun activities, trips and outings, and providing advice and practical support to anyone aged over 60. It’s a local Neighbourhood Network Scheme that’s free to join and is run by a small dedicated team and lots of volunteers so we are delighted to offer our support to them anyway we can.”

Head of Morgans’ North Leeds Office Debbie Bull says: “We will be serving hot drinks, mince pies and ginger bread men and singing a wide range of festive songs from 4.30pm – 6.30pm and would be delighted to see local people who want to join in the fund-raising fun.”
