Our 'Memoirs Group' meet once a week to share and discuss memories of the past

 

Working on the strengths of the groups; long term memory, memories shared are varied from school days, working life, growing up, music, going out, holidays and much more.  We have also enjoyed trips out to places once visited, cooking together from old recipes. Recently we celebrated 'Yorkshire Day' with a nostalgia quiz; prizes on offer were Pontefract cake and Yorkshire T-Bags with the rest getting a Tetley T-Bag for taking part; this was in place of our very own Tetley Bitter! 

 

The group have also created a memory board that includes a few memorable moments and some ‘Thinking of You’ cards, thanks to materials from 'Time to Change' in support of World Mental Health Day. See photos below (click on images below to view pictures)
