Silver Surfers
Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery, Caring Together has been able to strengthen links with a number of organisations within the community to set up a wonderful IT Project for our members. This has involved working in partnership with Leeds Met Student Union (CALM), City of Leeds School including our own volunteers and Derek Fatchett Learning Centre.
Our Silver surfer's attend a 10week student led basic computing session, learning the basics of computing as well as setting up an email account, searching the net, digital photography and computer safety.
In addition they can also attend our drop in where members can continue their learning were the majority of the regular attendees are now regular users of the internet, email, digital photography, Skype and Facebook, amongst many others, which is amazing.
