Volunteering is very rewarding. It is an opportunity to gain and develop skills and knowledge, which can be used in all aspects of life. Prospective employers look favourably upon applicants who do voluntary or community work and most job application forms include a section specifically for this information. Volunteering increases self-esteem, gives a sense of achievement, new friendships are formed and it can be great fun!!
