Making a difference

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. It takes place from 1st-7th June every year. Caring Together organises events annually to recognise the stellar work of our core volunteers without which so much of our service provision would either not take place or would be less effective.

This year we made plans to spend the afternoon Crown Green Bowling on Woodhouse Moor. However the weather put paid to our plans and so staff had to quickly make alternative arrangements. Lisa Argyle, the volunteer coordinator at Caring Together, arranged for our volunteers and staff team to meet at T.J.s on Woodhouse Street for a games afternoon. This was a great success and everyone enjoyed the afternoon.

Many thanks to the staff team, particularly Lisa and Valerie for taking the lead with this and a massive thank you once again to our loyal and dedicated volunteers.
