One again Wade’s Charity have helped towards the funding of our annual summer excursion for our members. This alternates between a trip to the coast and a closer to home day out with meal and entertainment. This year we are taking members to Raggalds. In the past Caring Together have taken over 100 members on our summer outings and the funding allows us to subsidise the costs to our members and to ensure that we can provide accessible transport for all those that wish to attend. Wade’s Charity have supported Caring Together in this manner for many years and all of the staff, trustees, volunteers and members wish to express our gratitude for this continued support.

Movies at the CT Lounge
Little London Community Centre was the venue on Friday for a movie afternoon. 30 people gathered to watch ‘Quartet’ in the first of a series of similarly planned afternoons. Future movies will be arranged in response to suggestions made by those present on the day. A great time was had by all who attended with popcorn and ice creams available to enhance the feeling of a real cinema experience. Many thanks to the students from Leeds Beckett University who volunteered and helped out on the day.
Knitting Together
Caring Together and Leeds Beckett University have joined forces on a knitting Project involving our members and their students. Four students attended our last Craft Group Session. The project is centred around learning new skills and sharing knowledge. The project will culminate with the students pieces of work being brought together as a blanket and donated to Caring Together.
