Over 70? Not been called for Covid Vaccine? Contact the NHS
The government has changed it’s advice about contacting the NHS to request your Covid Vaccine.
If you are over 70 and have not yet been asked to go for you first dose of the vaccine please contact the NHS to make sure you get it.
There are several ways you can do this:
You can access the national booking system online
Call 119 free of change between 7am and 11pm
Call your GP

Diverse Voices is the new Age Proud Leeds podcast in which people from diverse communities talk about ageism and discrimination. Topics include:
- the past to the present
- the impact of discrimination and hate crime
- the challenges faced by the Windrush generation
- the need for accessible and welcoming services
- Pride: celebrating cultural diversity and older people from diverse communities

Outing The Past – Saturday 6th February
February is LGBT+ History Month and there are lots of events taking place. This year everything has had to be moved online and you can see a calendar of all the events here: https://lgbtplushistorymonth.co.uk/calendar/
Leeds Museums and Galleries will be hosting a free virtual ‘Outing the Past’ Festival on Saturday 6th February. Between 9.50am and 15.40pm
You can join the event via Zoom to celebrate and learn more about LGBT+ history. You can watch and listen to a brilliant range of fascinating presentations and stories all focused on LGBT+ history.

Councillor Hannah Bithell, Leeds City Council’s LGBT+ Champion, said: “We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to host another OUTing the Past event, albeit in a totally new format. The event, held during LGBT+ History Month, provides us with an important opportunity to acknowledge some of the many struggles, sacrifices and triumphs of LGBT+ community in Leeds and beyond. We have some fantastic speakers and presentations lined up and it is set to be a great day of celebration for all.”
