Walking Group Fashion Show

David WalkingDavid, Caring Together Walker, models the latest bag accessory for the discerning walker…also available in red or black….

Our walking group have been resting over the winter months but will be meeting very soon to plan the Spring walks.  And will soon be getting out and about on local walks and sometimes a little further afield – usually finishing at a cafe for a cup of tea, of course

Busy day at Woodhouse

Lots happenin9237249041_ee4e6e1f5ag at Woodhouse Community Centre today.

The Real Junk Food Project are running their fortnightly Pay as You Feel Cafe – lovely meals made from food that would have gone to waste and the Princes Trust are holding a Fun Day from 12noon to 3.30pm.  Jumble, books, buns and activities.

So you could come for a nice lunch and then grab yourself a bargain – into the bargain!

IT classes a shining example of community spirit

selfieoneMany thanks to Lovell Park Hub, who gave us the space, to Leeds Library and University of Leeds students who gave their time for free to enable us to help some of our members learn that new technology is not always as scary as they might think it is – and to have fun!

Often older people can be intimidated by the gadgets that the younger generation take for granted so it has been lovely today to bring the generations together to learn how to get the best out of their i-pads and just maybe open up a whole new world of opportunities!

We are so grateful to everyone who has helped today
