Unity Day

Caring Together had a Tombola and Hook a Bag stall once again at the Unity Day in Hyde Park last Saturday. It was another fantastic community event. Well done to the Unity Day Management Committee and to all those who put in the hard work and organised this. A special big thanks to all of our volunteers who were involved in planning for this and who helped out on the day.

Caring Together out Harrogate Way

Caring Together took three minibuses (and a car) of members out to Millstones near Harrogate on Wednesday for a meal and entertainment. It was a great day out and everybody voiced that they had enjoyed themselves. It is always great to get out as a big group, we do this annually, one year to the coast and the next for a day similar to Wednesday. Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped out on the day.

Little London Community Day

Caring Together were once again involved in the organising of the Little London Community Day last Saturday and a great day it turned out to be. The day had a lovely feel to it and, as over the past 3 years since it was re introduced, there was a good turnout from the local community, both young and old. There were many other local organisations and individuals involved in the planning for this and a big thanks is due to them for donating their time to this. A special thanks to our Caring Together volunteers who prepared for and worked on our Tombola Stall. It was a long and tiring day but well worth it in the end.

Looking through the window at St Mark’s

Caring Together were again invited back to St Mark’s in Woodhouse last week where members were given a talk on the history behind the church windows. This proved to be both informative and enjoyable, with teas and cakes provided before and after the session. Many thanks to Alex for arranging this and also to the St Mark’s volunteers who made us feel welcome.
