Something that might be of interest: Leeds Civic Trust are holding ‘lunchtime lectures’ – half hour talks about Leeds history on Wednesdays throughout February at Trinity Church, Boar Lane in Leeds city centre. And they are all free!
This week it is the history of back to backs in Leeds – “the fascinating story of the development of these once infamous but now celebrated type of houses, from their creation in the yards of Briggate and Kirkgate in the Industrial Revolution to their spread right across the city in the Victorian period.”
