Age Friendly Leeds has launched a new scheme called “Come In and Rest” and more than 40 local businesses and organisations have already signed up.
Participating organisations put a sticker in their window to signal that they’re age friendly premises where older people know they are welcome.
With 47p of every £1 in the UK being spent by someone over 50, there’s a great incentive for businesses to be age friendly.
There are premises in Moortown, Middleton, Farnley, Beeston, City Centre and Roundhay that have already signed up and we are hoping to get many more.
