It is always nice to celebrate peoples birthdays as we do at most of our groups. Milestones are important for people and groups for a multitude of reasons. Mainly however, we just posted this because we liked the picture.

For mind and Body
It was time once again for our Yoga session at Little London Community Centre yesterday afternoon. As always it was well received and attended. We have three more sessions to go if anyone would like to come along and join us for some relaxation and mindful movement for overall well-being. Summertime Social
Caring Together held a Summertime Social yesterday. All agreed that it was a great afternoon with many saying that we need to make this an annual event. It was held at Little London Community Centre and aside from summer themed cakes and buns we had seasonal prizes for the raffle and bingo. As usual, a great many thanks to all of those volunteers who helped out and made it such a special event.

ModRoc
We have loved this morning. Together we have been experimenting with ModRoc; which is using plaster bandage dipped in water to make a plaster-of-paris to enable us to begin creating a Bust. This involves forming a sculpted representation of a person’s head and neck, and a upper part of the body. Some of us also got to draw portraits which will come to life using various digital technology.

‘Every Day First Aid’
Caring Together and British Red Cross welcomed members and volunteers to ‘Every Day First Aid’ training this afternoon at Harrison and Potter Homes in Little London. As usual this session was well attended.
A message from the British Red Cross
The British Red Cross knows that everyone can learn a few simple first aid skills that could help someone if things suddenly went wrong. We also know that, most of the time, the person you’ll end up helping will be a friend or family member. It doesn’t matter how young or old, or how able you think you are, everyone can learn to do something to help an ill or injured person.
