Remembering at St Mark’s

Due to IT issues we were unable to put up a post about the remembrance session at St Mark’s that Caring Together attended on the 9th November. As per usual we were warmly welcomed and hot drinks and cake were plentiful. The war memorial in the church was originally a feature at the old St Michael’s Church which was situated just beyond the junction of Meanwood Road and Buslingthorpe Lane. It was demolished in the late 1960s. A talk was held focusing on some of the local individuals whose names appeared on the memorial.

A few members of the very talented church choir sang some songs afterwards which was appreciated by all those present. A big thanks once again to Alex from St Mark’s and to all the volunteers who helped out on the day.
