30 YEARS OF CARING TOGETHER

Thank you to everyone who came to our Pot Luck Lunch to celebrate Caring Together’s 30 years.

We all had a great time and we certainly were not short of food!!

There was a trip down memory lane over the years that Caring Together has been around, a chance to test your knowledge in our 1995 quiz and, of course a rousing rendition of happy birthday before everyone went home with cake

Last of our Winter Warmer Soups – for now

Yesterday was our final Winter Warmer Soup day of the Winter. Twelve weeks, Twelve soups – all homemade and delicious, thank you to all our members and staff who made the soups and to all those who came along to enjoy them!!

The Winter Warmers will be back again next year and now, as the clocks are going forward, and the weather starting to warm up we will have lots of other things going on at Caring Together.

Our members and supporters will have had the Spring newsletter with lots of information about what is going on so we hope you will be joining us for outings and activities.

We work mainly with over 55s living in Woodhouse, Little London and the City Centre, if that is you and you are not already a Caring Together member, but would like to join or know more about what is happening you can contact us on 0113 2430298 or info@caringtogether.org.uk.

A walk on the wild (ish) side

2016-06-21 16.55.52Lisa, Valerie and some of Caring Together’s members went on a Tree ID walk this week organised by Oblong and Leeds Coppice Workers.

It was a really enjoyable end to the afternoon to stroll in the sunshine and to actually take a look at the trees and nature that are on our doorstep and that we often just don’t notice.

Many thanks to Dave from Leeds Coppice Workers for an interesting an informative walk.  The next plan is to maybe have a similar walk looking at edible plants.

We will let you know when we have more information about this
