World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling. It is celebrated every year on the March equinox, on (or near) the 20th March. Caring Together took part in this last Tuesday and it proved a success with members. Two extracts from local authors were used for this session and this stimulated other more informal stories.We all know and appreciate the importance of storytelling to children as a means of learning and entertainment but pre television and the internet age it was an important part of cultures worldwide for all ages.
