Writing Back is a volunteer pen pal scheme where older Yorkshire residents exchange letters with students at the University of Leeds, many of whom are away from home for the first time. This pioneering and award-winning scheme encouraged the formation of long-lasting friendships, whilst tackling loneliness in both demographics.  Caring Together have been involved with this fantastic project from the beginning and our members who participated were invited recently to yet another celebration event to meet their pen pals.
